Zohra Opoku
Zohra Opoku (n. 1976, alemana y ghanesa; vive y trabaja en Accra, Ghana) examina la política de formación de la identidad personal a través de influencias históricas, culturales y socioeconómicas, particularmente en el contexto de la Ghana contemporánea.
Las exploraciones de Opoku han sido principalmente a través del lente de su cámara; Su fotografía se expresa a través de la serigrafía y el tratamiento fotográfico alternativo sobre variedades de tejidos naturales. Si bien su trabajo transmite comentarios sociales y temas ampliamente relevantes en torno a la experiencia humana, cada una de las exploraciones de Zohra está íntimamente arraigada en la política de identidad personal. En repetidas ocasiones integra reliquias familiares y su propia imagen en sus observaciones visuales de la memoria cultural de Ghana.
