Amoako Boafo: The Home I’ve Never Had

Octubre 19 - Diciembre 19, 2026 Paris

Mariane Ibrahim is pleased to announce a major solo exhibition by Amoako Boafo in Paris, opening on October 19 and on view through December 19, 2026.

For this occasion, Boafo will transform the gallery into an immersive environment, bringing the idea of home to the forefront of his practice. In the exhibition, paintings and atmosphere converge to create an environment that reflects on belonging, hospitality, and the ways in which spaces shape identity. Playing between notions of exhibition-making and the sharing of lived experience through his paintings, the artist offers a meditation on what it means to inhabit and share a home.

Amoako Boafo’s exhibition opens at the start of Paris Art Week 2026 and coincides with Art Basel Paris. Mariane Ibrahim will participate in the annual MaSH inaugural event on Monday, October 19th, which brings together 39 galleries from the Matignon-Saint-Honoré sector for a shared evening of special programming. The exhibition also coincides with the fifth anniversary of Mariane Ibrahim's Paris gallery, making it both a significant presentation in Boafo's career and a celebration of a relationship that has evolved alongside the gallery's presence in the city over the past years.
