Eva Jospin

In an age of rapid advancement in virtual and augmented reality, Eva Jospin (b. 1975 in Paris, France) roots her practice in questioning perspective itself. In her tridimensional sculptures and immersive installations, she activates the illusion of depth to shift direct perception and guide the eye to multiple dimensions within each artwork—transforming sight into a conscious, interiorized process. As she explains, “I try to address the landscape as one we are part of—when nature becomes not just a space we observe but one we are inside of, it transforms into an interior, imagined vision.” 

Having been a resident at the Villa Medici in Rome in 2017, elected to the Sculpture section of the Académie des Beaux-Arts in 2024, and winner of the Prix de l’Académie des Beaux-Arts in 2015, Jospin has been featured in numerous major international exhibitions. These include Inside at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris (2014), Sous-Bois at the Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara (2018), Eva Jospin – Wald(t)räume at the Museum Pfalzgalerie in Kaiserslautern (2019), Among the Trees at the Hayward Gallery in London (2020), Paper Tales at the Het Noordbrabants Museum in Den Bosch (2021), Galleria at the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature in Paris (2021), Panorama at the Fondation Thalie in Brussels (2023), and Selva at the Museo Fortuny in Venice during the 60th Venice Biennale. More recently, she presented the major solo exhibitions Grottesco at the Grand Palais in Paris (2025) and Into the Woods at the SCAD Museum of Art in Savannah, GA (2026), marking her debut U.S. museum exhibition.

Her monumental and immersive installations have been presented at the Cour Carrée du Louvre (Panorama, 2016), the Abbey of Montmajour (Cenotaph, 2020), the Palais des Papes in Avignon (Palazzo, 2023), and most recently at the Château de Versailles (Eva Jospin – Versailles, 2024). She also created the embroidered panels for the Dior Haute Couture 2021–2022 fashion show (Chambre de Soie, 2021) and a monumental artwork for the Dior Spring–Summer 2023 fashion show (Nymphées, 2022). 

Her permanent installations are on view at the Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire (Folie, 2015), Beaupassage in Paris (La Traversée, 2018), Le Voyage à Nantes (Le Passage, 2019), and Microclima (2022), conceived as a winter garden at the Max Mara Piazza del Liberty store in Milan.
