The travelling group show Dust Specks on the Sea: Contemporary Sculpture from the French Caribbean & Haiti with the work of Raphaël Barontini will be on view at La Ferme du Buisson art center in Noisiel, France, from October 15, 2022 to January 29, 2023.
The exhibition, titled in French, Des grains de poussière sur la mer: Sculpture contemporaine des Caraïbes françaises et d’Haïti features 26 artists from Martinique, Guadeloupe, French Guiana, and Haiti who take up the complex, layered, and under-explored histories of the region in their artmaking.
The show was curated by Arden Sherman and organized in 2018 by the Hunter College Art Galleries, New York City, with curatorial assistance from Katie Hood Morgan and Marie Vickles.
