Maïmouna Guerresi is among the 120 international artists selected for Beauty(s), the 2026–27 edition of the Clermont-Ferrand Textile Biennial, a large-scale cultural program spanning multiple institutions across France and beyond. Conceived as an exploration of beauty in its most unexpected forms, the Biennial brings together artists from 24 nationalities to examine how textiles can reveal diverse cultural narratives, sensibilities, and ways of seeing the world. Through this plural vision of beauty—one that embraces difference rather than uniformity—the exhibition reflects on the capacity of textile practices to weave connections across histories, geographies, and identities.
As part of the Biennial, Guerresi’s work will be featured in the international exhibition at the Musée d’Art Roger-Quilliot in Clermont-Ferrand from July 1, 2026, through January 2027, before traveling to the Musée d’ethnographie de Genève from April 16 to August 15, 2027.
