The sensuality of touch plays a major part in Seals of the Habitual World. From the weight of the velvety fabric against the figure’s skin, to her gentle self-caress and her soft curls, touch and attentiveness are the centrepiece of the image. The figure is out of time, but the light of her world connects to the light of The Wake of An Extinguishable Light. As the red from that work reflects the red of her clothing. There exists an infinite loop of care through the past, present and future.
