Frieze Los Angeles

For its first participation in Frieze Los Angeles, Mariane Ibrahim is pleased to present a solo show of Patrick Eugène.

 

Patrick Eugène, a Haitian American painter born in Brooklyn in 1984 and now based in Atlanta, creates large-scale figurative compositions that captivate viewers with their stillness and emotive depth. Drawing inspiration from his Haitian heritage and abstract expressionist influences, Eugène explores human connectivity through a minimalist approach. Devoid of specific settings, his works invite viewers to engage deeply with the characters he brings to life, fostering a sense of transcendence and universal human experience.
