The Spirit of the Studio at MO.CO. Panacée examines the pedagogical and artistic legacy of painter Djamel Tatah through the work of sixteen artists he mentored during his fifteen years at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris. Structured around the Beaux-Arts studio system, the exhibition brings together more than 120 recent and newly produced works spanning painting, drawing, sculpture, weaving, and installation, revealing a wide diversity of practices shaped by dialogue, trust, and artistic autonomy, including works by Djabril Boukhenaïssi and Clémence Gbonon.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalogue featuring graphic design by Clément Wibaut, with newly commissioned texts, a conversation between Djamel Tatah and Numa Hambursin, and contributions from the sixteen participating artists.
