SWIMMING POOL MAGAZINE DANCE [musings in Mexico City]
Join ruby onyinyechi amanze as she guides us through her exhibition SWIMMING POOL MAGAZINE DANCE [musings in Mexico City], where she reflects on her fascination with invented and shifting environments, exploring how changes in angles, distance, and architecture can transform our perception of a room and the ways we move within it.

For the past five years, swimming pools have appeared in her drawings, and here she translates this motif into three dimensions, inspired by the city’s tile-making traditions. Another key element is a newly created dance, a fleeting gesture shaped by bodies, environment, and audience. The exhibition also includes a work table with materials and references from her studio, inviting visitors to move through the space, interact with a selection objects, and gain a tactile sense of the processes behind her practice.
