The Earth, the Fire, the Water, and the Winds – For a Museum of Errantry with Édouard Glissant
Curated by Ana Roman and Paulo Miyada and iIncluding Raphaël Barontini’s work, “The Earth, the Fire, the Water, and the Winds – For a Museum of Errantry with Édouard Glissant” brings together part of the Martinican poet and philosopher’s personal collection alongside paintings, sculptures, and prints by artists he knew and wrote about, in dialogue with more than 30 contemporary artists from across the globe. Inspired by Glissant’s 2010 anthology, the exhibition explores the idea of a “Museum of Wandering,” focusing on artistic production from the second half of the 20th century to today.

On opening day, Raphaël Barontini will join artists Minia Biabiany and Hamedine Kane in a conversation further expanding on the exhibition’s themes.
