Founded in London in 2009 by artists Hannah Plumb and James Russell, JAMESPLUMB is a creative studio that seamlessly blends art and design. The duo met over two decades ago at Wimbledon School of Art, where they studied Fine Art Sculpture and graduated in 2003. In 2022, they relocated to the Shropshire Hills, continuing their international work from this inspiring new base.

JAMESPLUMB’s aesthetic is not easily pinned down. There is a love of unorthodox and unconventional beauty. The strange allure of accidental geometry, and perfection interrupted. They are drawn to that which is shaped by time. The idea that total permanence cannot be. Their objects and environments are enriched with the complex patina of time and life. They admire the obsessively handmade and time consuming. They instinctively reject the mass produced, the conventionally perfect, and that which offers only surface attraction. They love that which is in perpetual evolution. JAMESPLUMB have exhibited across the UK as well as internationally including Milan, Geneva, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
