In Mexico City with Salah Elmur as he guides us through The Land of the Sun, his first solo exhibition with the gallery and in Latin America.
This exhibition brings together a series of recent paintings through which Elmur transports us to the hot landscapes of his childhood near the Blue Nile in Khartoum, Sudan, while highlighting the connection he sees between his paintings and those of Mexican artists, and discussing the inspiration behind the distortions in his artworks.
