Is a contemplation of aspects of blackness. Like most of my ‘portraits,’ they are not fixed to any particular individual but may be linked to a desire or a circumstance that asks the viewer to find empathy in the unrecognizable. I use the silhouette as a kind of lure, something familiar like a hairstyle. I hope to use pareidolia to pull on the viewer's imagination.
